Cottonwood

Our friends Natalie and David, who live in Cottonwood, invited us to come spend a couple days with them and their kids, Brooke, Braden, and Devin. They have a "secret" swimming hole in the Verde River that we went to. It was wonderful!!

Joy and Brooke catching teensy weensy baby frogs.

Ira and Braden "sword fighting"--- yes, Ira found a kindred spirit who also believes that everything can be made into a pretend weapon.

Ira and Joy relaxing in the river. Anyone but me think these shots should be in a magazine?

Simon and Devin chillin'

Dad with Thomas and Clayton getting ready to send them down the "rapids" on tubes.
We also went fishing at Dead Horse Ranch State Park (no dead horses). Ira caught a fish, and then Tommy caught one too!

I love this picture of Clayton... he was the best fisherman--- patiently waiting for his fish to bite. :-)
The other wonderful ting we discovered was a place called "A Scoop Above" that sells homemade gelato. Best stuff EVER.... and they have a whole kids area complete with a separate play room for the kids, and tables for the parents. We have contemplated making the drive up to Cottonwood just to eat gelato.... there must be some addictive chemical in it...
