So...... Mom has been a little tired and busy lately. Dad has too. Our family has been really busy and unfortunately sitting down to update the blog has fallen by the way side. I figure the thing everyone really cares about is the baby, and his little update is up on the top of the screen, so we're set. Right? Okay, okay, here's one of our most recent pictures of Simon, from my 3D ultrasound a few weeks ago.
Chubby cheeks...... I actually had some measurements done last week and apparently he has a large head. So happy......not really. But I am VERY happy (ecstatic) that everything is showing our little brother as healthy and growing (quickly).
Alright, so we haven't posted since the end of December. Let's see. We had a snow day in January, which was really fun. We drove up to the Happy Jack area and found a nice deserted back road.
In February I had a baby shower to attend in Cottonwood so Aaron took the kids hiking at Dead Horse Ranch State Park.
They liked it so much we went back up to Cottonwood a few weeks later to go fishing at Dead Horse Ranch State Park and then to a "cowboy show" at the Blazin' M Ranch. (Dead Horse Ranch sounds like a horrible place, but it is really beautiful and there are no dead horses anywhere to be seen. Lots of birds though.) There were some peole fly fishing who kind of "adopted" Joy, and then this amazing fisherman started hanging out with us and casting the kids' lines like literally into the fishes' mouths, or so it seemed, and then let the kids reel them in and take the hooks out and throw them back and stuff. He had serious fishing mojo.
Then the weekend before Easter we went to an Easter egg hunt and spaghetti dinner at our friends the Mason's house, with several families from our ward. We really love our ward!

This Saturday, I was given a baby shower by my friend Kelley and my sister Rachel (and neice Jessica). They really did a fantastic job and I was overwhelmed with all of the effort put into it and all of the friends and family who were there to support me. Kelley posted some of the decorations she did on her blog http://lifeandartwithglammafabulous.blogspot.com/ and I may have pictures later to post.... but again, I was just flabbergasted with the love that I felt from everyone who came. It was a great time!
That has us updated to today--Happy Easter and hopefully I'll be more on the ball for our next post. I kind of think it will be sometime in May, probably announcing Simon's arrival... but I'll try and be better than that.
Yay, more updates! I love all the pictures. I would love to see more pics of the shower, since I didn't get to go. I'm glad you have awesome people around you during this fun time! Hope for an update before Simon comes :)
