Our Simon is scheduled to arrive TOMORROW! This is a quick update, no photos or anything.... although with luck we'll be able to post some photos from the hospital (I'm hoping they have wi-fi and that can be one of the things I do to 'pass the time' in recovering).
Simon is breech, so it's a scheduled C-section--- a little nerve-wracking for Mom but also means we can pinpoint his arrival time down almost as well as an airport arrival :-) The surgery is scheduled for 12:30 pm so sometime around there. Keep us in your prayers and you can smile a little knowing that our little brother is showing up around lunch time.
The kids are really excited-- Clayton likes to tell people that Mom is getting cut in half to get the baby. All of the kids have taken on a little traditional "Good night Simon" every night that I then have to answer in a fake Simon voice telling them good night too. Ira, Joy, Thomas, and Clayton are going to be such AWESOME big brothers and sister to Simon-- the wait is finally almost over!!
Not that this is a "PS" but something to bring up that I will follow up on in a later post: Ira turned ELEVEN on Tuesday! He also got his Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts, and a slew of other awards, to include the "Super Achiever" which means he earned every activity badge you can earn as a Webelo. He's moving on into "11 year old Scouts" ("Blazer scouts" was SUCH a better name but oh well). Again, I'll post more about that later. Maybe :-)
