Couple of posts....

Whew.... I have a few posts to write, I got the pictures from our other camera. It has been a hard week. Aaron and the kids were great, as they always are. But on Friday, May 22, two people I've worked with for years the PD were killed in a helicopter crash. It took a while for the "official" identification, but we all knew who was in Mike's helicopter--him and Donna. So, this past week was one of preparing for a police funeral, which if you've ever attended, is really heart-wrenching but powerful and cool too. Bagpipes, an honor guard that rivals military honor guards, procession of police and fire department vehicles from all over the state and country, 21 gun salute, the whole thing. I was surrounded by people who were stoically choking back tears and showing their respect and unity, all while hurting so bad inside. I can't tell you how hard it was to see all my friends (I call officers my "children" because of the caregiving role of a dispatcher)-- see them suffering so, knowing how they felt, and not being able to make it all better. So anyway, Mike and Donna, I will miss you very much, but I know I'll see you again.

Okay. so now I'll be posting some pictures of camping and stuff, so keep looking down. I might make a movie or two to get it all in.
