Here are pictures of Ira's room. We closed in the loft and made a little room out of it. It actually turned out a little larger than we expected. (Well, we measured it and knew exactly how big it would be, but it FEELS larger than we expected it to feel.) It is perfect for Ira, and now is a typical 9 year old boy's room (namely, a disaster area). We put one of those extra TV's in there that we had accumulated, with the promise of a DVD player in the future for when Ira doesn't want to watch Scooby Doo or Little Einsteins with the rest of the kids. (He's into Hogan's Heroes... the other kids not so much.) My favorite part of the room itself is the desk. It fit into this nook that was in there, just perfectly. Ira uses it to do Lego projects, and the model dragon he's currently building, and anything BUT his actual homework. My favorite part of this POST, however, is his rule sheet. You can't read it, but waaay down in the bottom right corner is a rule that says "Salute when coming in." (I just realized that Ira has a rule that says "Do not play with my knives." DON'T worry, anyone who was worried by that. Ira got a pocketknife from his Primary teacher (and our current home teacher) that is engraved with his name. (SOOO cool!) He doesn't have a big collection or a Bowie knife or anything. :-)

Ira's RULES
This is the view from the window towards the door

Ira's desk. You can see his Lego cruiser there...

Ira's bed. Actually not too disastrous looking there....

  1. I wish I could put a list like that on my room.
